Research Interests: Autonomous Agents for Physical and Digital Worlds, Visual World Modeling, Visual Language Modeling, Perception and its Application in Autonomous Driving and Robotics.
Dr. Yuntao Chen, an assistant professor at the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Hong Kong Institute of Science & Innovation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, former leaders for perception algorithm for several unicorn autonomous driving startups before entering the academia. His main research area includes foundation model-driven digital world agents, visual world modeling, scene perception and its application in autonomous driving. He has published over 20 papers in top journals and conferences in this field such as TPAMI, JMLR, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, with over 1700 citations on Google Scholar, H-index: 12. He has also authored several popular opensource frameworks including SimpleDet and mx-maskrcnn.
