Research Interests: computer vision, visual sensing, scene perception and understanding technology.

 

Dr. Chi Zhang, associate researcher at the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 2007, he received a Bachelor's degree in computer science and technology from Southwest Jiaotong University. In 2010, he received a Master's degree in traffic information engineering and control from Lanzhou Jiaotong University. In 2016, he received a PhD in computer application technology from the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and stayed to work at the institute. His main research areas include biometric recognition, computational imaging, and bio-inspired visual perception and understanding. He has led 2 national natural science foundation projects (youth project and general project), one sub-project of the "New Generation Artificial Intelligence" major project, and has undertaken multiple research projects including a key project of the National Natural Science Foundation, and multiple technical cooperation projects from well-known domestic and foreign companies. He has published over 10 papers in authoritative journals and mainstream conferences at home and abroad, and has been granted multiple national invention patents.
