Dr. Gaofeng MENG, a professor at the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Hong Kong Institute of Science & Innovation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, doctoral supervisor, a professor at the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, post professor at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He received the B.S. degree in applied mathematics from Northwestern Polytechnical University in 2002, and the M.S. degree in applied mathematics from Tianjin University in 2005, and the

Ph.D degree in control science and engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University in 2009. After got his doctoral degree, He has been working in the National Laboratory of Pattern Recognition, Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, firstly as an Assistant Professor and now as a Professor. In 2015, he visited the Multimedia Computing Group at TU Delft, working with Prof. Alan Hanjalic. During 2016-2017, he visited the Department of Computer Science at Northwestern University, working with Prof. Ying Wu. His research interests include image processing and analysis, computer vision and bio-inspired machine learning. Dr. Meng has published over 100 papers in top journals and conferences in this field, including IEEE Trans (TPAMI, TIP, TNNLS, TMM), CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, AAAI, IJCAI. He now serves as an associate editor for two international journals, namely, Neurocomputing, Image and Vision Computing. He was awarded the “Zhuliyuehua Excellent Teacher of UCAS” in 2022.
